Privacy policy

The short version

Songology doesn't collect, store or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

The app remembers a few settings on your device only: the name you play under, a random ID so you can rejoin a game after a dropped connection, and when it last suggested Apple Music. Deleting the app deletes them.

Playing with friends

When friends join a game, phones connect directly over your local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Player names and game moves are shared only with the phones in that game. Nothing is sent to us or kept after the game.

Music and Apple

Songs, previews and album art come from Apple. To play them, the app asks Apple's services for each song. If you allow Apple Music access, the app checks whether you have an Apple Music membership so it can play full songs, and can show Apple's own offer to try Apple Music. Apple's handling of this is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

If you sign up for Apple Music through the app, Apple may tell us that a sign-up happened (as part of Apple's affiliate program), but not who you are.

Children

Songology doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
